Goaltender Dan Ellis, who played for the University of Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks from 2000-2003, led the Hamilton Bulldogs to their first shootout victory in franchise history on Saturday, Dec. 11. Ellis, whose record is 3-9-0, also earned his third consecutive win by making 33 saves on 35 shots and stopping all four Rochester shooters. On Friday, the Orangeville, Ont., native made 29 saves en route to his first shutout of the season. The Dallas Stars 2000 NHL Entry Draft second-round pick has a .911 save percentage and a 2.70 goals-against average.
