These Laker fans saw the 2003-04 CCHA Champion Ohio State Buckeyes skate to a 3-1 victory over their Lakers Friday night. Eight-year old Samantha and her father get a picture with the Mason Cup, the CCHA's Playoff Championship trophy named after Michigan State's former hockey coach and current Athletics Director, Ron Mason. Mitchell McLean, Austin Visnaw and Matt Sirk watched as LSSU junior defenseman Ren Fauci scored his first goal of the season Friday night.

Ten-year old Megan Cardiff was hoping for a Lakers win Friday night. Joe College took to the ice during the first intermission of the Lake Superior vs. Ohio State contest Friday night. Michael, Heather and Daniel love coming to Lake Superior hockey games.

Eight-month old baby Emily and her mom were part of the second biggest home crowd this season among 2,437 other fans. Mitchell McLean and Matt Sirk show support for the Lakers with matching jerseys. This group of boy scouts watched as LSSU sophomore goalie Jeff Jakaitis turned away 19 Buckeye shots Friday night.

These young Laker fans saw their team end an 11-game scoreless drought with the man advantage when Ren Fauci struck for his first goal of the season at 16:15 of the second period Friday night. James Howie has a 1992 National Championship ring from working in video for the LSSU hockey team. Paul Sabourin is a member of the Soo Blueliners.

Three-year old Samantha Munns was excited to see her Buckeyes in the Soo last weekend. Laker fans will have an opportunity to watch the Lakers on FSN Detroit this Friday as LSSU head to Oxford, Ohio, to try and snap a six-game losing streak against the RedHawks.
