Forward Evan Cheverie, who played for the Miami RedHawks from 1998-2002,
scored a pair of goals and added three assists in three games last week for
the Long Beach Ice Dogs of the East Coast Hockey League. The Charlottetowne,
P.E.I., native earned an assist on the game winner and added a helper on an
insurance tally in a 3-1 victory over Bakersfield on Sunday. On Saturday,
Cheverie scored the winning goal and after recording an assist in a 5-3 win
over Las Vegas. He scored a power-play marker on Friday to even the score in
the first period of a 5-3 win for the the Ice Dogs against Las Vegas.
Cheverie has 19 goals and 33 assists in 52 games for Long Beach this season.
