Former Maverick Brandon Scero has signed a contract with the Mississippi Sea Wolves of the ECHL.

The Sea Wolves are affiliated with the Tampa Bay Lightning of the NHL. The team, located in Biloxi, is in its first season back after the arena was destroyed in hurricane Katrina in August of 2005.

Scero leaves the Mavs as a top ten all-time scorer with a record of 55-59--114 in 147 games. Most recently, he was named the Central Collegiate Hockey Association offensive player of the week on Feb. 18 after he led the Mavericks with five points against Bowling Green.
